Description
The Macallan Exceptional Casks series was relaunched in 2017. Distilled on the 9th September 2002 and bottled over 15 years later after maturing in single European oak sherry puncheon #8167 (Ref: 2018/ESP-8167/02).
Selected by Macallan Whisky Maker Sarah Burgess, this was the second cask to be reserved for the 2018 batch of releases on 23rd November 2017. One of only 627 bottles.

About the Distillery:
The Macallan distillery is a single malt Scotch whisky distillery in Craigellachie, Moray, Scotland. The Macallan Distillers Ltd is a wholly owned subsidiary of Edrington, which purchased the brand from Highland Distillers in 1999.
The Macallan is generally considered to be the second or third highest-selling single-malt scotch, next to Glenfiddich and, by some accounts, Glenlivet.
