Description

A highly collectible bottling of Macallan 25-year-old anniversary malt, this edition comes in the very rare and hard to find red box. Matured in Sherry Oak casks for 25 years and bottled at 43% ABV. 

'For reasons not even science can wholly explain' - Occasionally, as with wines, a small amount of precipitate may appear in The Macallan. This results from characteristic ingreidents of malt whisky and has no effect upon the taste or flavour, nor any adverse effect upon health. It is a phenomenon normally confined to the highest quality wood aged malt whiskies.

    The Macallan distillery is a single malt Scotch whisky distillery in Craigellachie, Moray, Scotland. The Macallan Distillers Ltd is a wholly owned subsidiary of Edrington, which purchased the brand from Highland Distillers in 1999. 

    The Macallan is generally considered to be the second or third highest-selling single-malt scotch, next to Glenfiddich and, by some accounts, Glenlivet.
