Description
Burnobennie distillery has celebrated the inauguration of its distillery by collaborating with world-famous Scottish figurative artist Peter Howson to create The World is on Fire Series. This series will feature old & rare single-cask whiskies which will be adorned with distinctive artwork by Peter Howson on their labels, each highlighting the devastation that humans have been causing the planet. Both Burnobennie and Peter Howson have decided to collaborate in order to help River Dee Trust's #OneMillionTrees project.
This first release in the series has been distilled in 1989 by the highly sought-after Macallan distillery, then matured for 33 years before being bottled in 2012 yielding only 200 bottles.

About the Distillery:
The Macallan distillery is a single malt Scotch whisky distillery in Craigellachie, Moray, Scotland. The Macallan Distillers Ltd is a wholly owned subsidiary of Edrington, which purchased the brand from Highland Distillers in 1999.
The Macallan is generally considered to be the second or third highest-selling single-malt scotch, next to Glenfiddich and, by some accounts, Glenlivet.
