Description
This 40 year old edition of Macallan has been released in the Red Collection, a series which honours the distillery's proud use of the colour red throughout its history. Presented in an oak box crafted in the UK with European oak. The Red Collection range also includes a 50, 60, 71, 74 and 78 year old, some of the oldest whisky ever bottled by the distillery. This 40 year old was created by Whisky Maker, Kirsteen Campbell and bottled in 2023.

About the Distillery:
The Macallan distillery is a single malt Scotch whisky distillery in Craigellachie, Moray, Scotland. The Macallan Distillers Ltd is a wholly owned subsidiary of Edrington, which purchased the brand from Highland Distillers in 1999.
The Macallan is generally considered to be the second or third highest-selling single-malt scotch, next to Glenfiddich and, by some accounts, Glenlivet.
